Snippet from FEMERAID International Air Rescue as of 19 June 2024
The Air Rescue Team of FEMERAID International informs all our members, Knights and Dames of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP) about the followings:

A new study published on WEBMD sheds light on the fascinating connections between blood type and susceptibility to various diseases and medical conditions.

Here is a summary of the key points:

Blood type 0 :
Lower Risk of Heart Disease: People with blood type 0 have been shown to have a lower risk of heart disease.
Protection Against Malaria: There is some evidence that blood type 0 can offer protection against malaria.
Peptic Ulcers: More common in people with blood type 0.
Lower Risk of Cardiovascular Disease: Blood type 0 is associated with a lower overall risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Longevity: People with blood type 0 may have a tendency to live longer.

Blood type A :
Higher Risk of Stomach and Pancreatic Cancer: People with blood type A have a higher chance of developing these cancers.
Memory Problems and Stress: Blood type A might be linked to memory issues and difficulty handling stress.
Type 2 Diabetes: Higher risk compared to blood type 0.
Blood Clots: People with blood types A, B, and AB have a higher risk of developing blood clots in their veins.

Blood type B :
Higher Risk of Stomach and Pancreatic Cancer: Similar to blood type A, people with blood type B are more likely to develop these cancers.
Type 2 Diabetes: Increased risk compared to blood type 0.

Blood type AB :
Higher Risk of Stroke: People with blood type AB have a higher risk of stroke.
Higher Risk of Stomach and Pancreatic Cancer: Similar to blood types A and B, people with blood type AB are more likely to develop these cancers.
Blood Clots: Higher risk of developing blood clots in veins.

It is important to note that these associations are based on statistical analysis and correlations found in population studies. Although there is some evidence supporting these links, they are not yet fully backed by robust scientific proof. More research is needed to understand the underlying mechanisms and to confirm these findings conclusively.

Understanding these correlations can guide future research and potentially lead to more personalized approaches to healthcare and disease prevention based on an individual’s blood type.
