Did you know that certain vitamins, fruits and supplements can help combat infections and inflammations?
Vitamin A strengthens the immune system and protects against infectious diseases. Consuming 10,000 IU for 1-2 weeks may aid in healing. Vitamin A is found in liver, fish oils, milk, eggs, and leafy greens.
Vitamin E also boosts the immune system and may alleviate inflammation.
Pineapple juice contains bromelain, an enzyme with anti-inflammatory properties that supports the immune system.
Chili peppers inhibit the proteins that regulate the body’s inflammatory response.
Turmeric is recognized for its natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities.
Garlic inhibits two inflammatory enzymes and promotes blood flow to the muscles.
Ginger possesses anti-inflammatory properties similar to ibuprofen.
Grapes, peanuts, pistachios, blueberries, cranberries and mulberries may assist in the inflammatory process, particularly in arthritis.
Zinc can help prevent inflammation.
It is important to note that vitamins and supplements should not replace prescribed therapy but can serve as a helpful supplement in combating inflammation and infection.
