Snippet from FEMERAID International Air Rescue as of 26 October 2021
The Air Rescue Team of FEMERAID International informs all our members, Knights and Dames of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP) about the followings:

Looking back on the COVID-19 pandemic, we should ponder and try to learn some lessons.

At first, we all tried to see and enjoy some advantages of this complicated situation:
• we spent more time with the close family,
• we started working from home using the internet,
• we applauded the health professionals at the windows and in our streets,
• almost everyone tried to find a balance to better cope with the imposed confinement measures.

But now, after 2 years, we can begin to observe a few deviations in the behaviour of societies: • on the record numbers of divorces,
• on the high number of unemployed people - this trend has reached 4.3 million people in the USA who have resigned,
• and on the high number of people diagnosed with mental health issues.

The psychology of this pandemic is still being studied, these already identified deviations could take about a decade to be fully understood by researchers.

We think that the keywords should and must be “tolerance” and “perseverance”; in close relationships, at work and in society in general.

Everything, we have taken for granted so far, has been severely put to the test, leaving many homeless, jobless, and alone and not to forget of course at least 4 million people who have lost their lives.

Stay safe and healthy!
