Season’s Greetings
Dear Knights, Dames, Squires, Damsels and friendly Orders,
On behalf of the Government of our State and of the structures of our Sovereign Order, I have the honour and the pleasure of presenting to all our most sincere Greetings for the coming Season.
In fact, in the disturbed and uncertain World of our days, during this period several religions celebrate important festivities and all of them are festivities of Peace and Love such as:
- The Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the awaited Messiah
- The Jewish religion celebrates the Chanukah of the year 5777, which is the celebration of the light over the darkness, the rededication of the Holy Temple, celebrated during 8 days with 8 candles – which begins exceptionally on the 24th December this year, as a rare occasion;
- The Muslims celebrate the Eid al-Mawlid an-Nabawī, the Festival of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad; - The Hindus celebrate the Gita Jayanti a day that symbolizes the birth of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita the sacred text of the Hindu religion;
- The Buddhists celebrate the Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava and also the Amitabha, the celestial Buddha “The Buddha of Immeasurable Life and Light”;
- The Dōngzhì Festival (Winter Solstice Festival) in China celebrates the arrival of winter, renders cult to the ancestors and is a festivity of the family;
and the World in general also celebrates the arrival of the New Year of 2017, so, for the above said, we come to wish to all
