SCOPE OF THE FEMERAID INTERNATIONAL COUNTRY UNITS:
The Femeraid International Country Units around the World are dedicated to Search, Rescue, Emergency Health Care, Assistance to Victims, Medical Assistance and Evacuation of Critical Patients.
Presently Femeraid International Units are grouped by Continents (in Alphabetic Order)
FEMERAID INTERNATIONAL AFRICA – General Director : Dr. Sir Nuno Cosmelli
Femeraid Africa - as it is commonly known -, is composed of the following country units, which we can shortly describe as follows:
FEMERAID ANGOLA - Director : Dr. Sir Nuno Cosmelli
This unit is specialised in Medical Rescue, Evacuation of Critical patients, assistance to the population and management and response to catastrophes with a fully equipped mobile hospital and well trained medical team. Recently besides the assistance to CAN 2010 in Benguela, Angola, this unit assisted by request of the Angolan Ministry of Health followed by acceptance of the SADC, the 31st SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Angola in August 2011 see link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4IZ712nRnM

FEMERAID INTERNATIONAL ASIA -
FEMERAID CAMBODIA - Director : Sir Thourn Sinan
Presently this unit assists and helps to support orphans of the Cambodian Children Orphanage for Living and Training ( CCOLT) and soon it will enlarge its activity to other areas of Humanitarian Assistance.
FEMERAID INTERNATIONAL EUROPE - General Director : Gen. Sir Ján Culka
FEMERAID BELGIUM - Director : Mr. Krisztian Zerkowitz
This unit is specialised in Dogs specially trained for Search, Rescue and Explosives Detection.
FEMERAID CZECH REPUBLIC - Director : Dr. Sir Alexander Cach
This unit with about 100 volunteers was created to assist the populations during the floods of the Danube
FEMERAID HUNGARY - Director : Sir István Gyenes
This unit, fully equipped and with about 120 volunteers, was created to assist the populations during the yearly floods of the Danube River. It had a relevant action during the recent red toxic mud episode in the Danube. This unit also provides assistance to the homeless in Hungary and is the base for collecting and stocking the equipment and medicines for donations worldwide, besides operating our Orphan's Program in Hungary.
FEMERAID BUDAPEST - Director : Sir Kristóf Bakai
FEMERAID ITALY - Director : Dr. Sir Giuseppe Satriano
This unit, based in a very large building near the sea in the city of Salerno, provides emergency assistance and ambulance service to the population and had a very relevant action for over 2 weeks during the earthquake in the region of Abruzzo. This unit also provides Mountain and Sea Rescue, on water and under water.
Recently in Siena Femeraid Italy started assisting children with deep disabilities
FEMERAID NETHERLANDS - Director : Sir Nico Waerts
This unit is doing a remarkable work cooperating with the Dutch authorities, since its is specialised in the fight against Bullying of Children and Domestic Violence. With new methods it assists, on a very high level, a large number of children victims of Bullying.
Recently this unit started providing care to patients with Cancer.
FEMERAID SLOVAKIA - Director : Gen. Sir Ján Culka
Content of the Sub File: Our Slovakian Femeraid with about 200 volunteers is a large, very experienced, highly equipped and trained Unit, specialised not only in urban and road Rescue but also in Water Rescue, mainly in the Danube, on water and under water. This unit has a large international experience. Recently it was serving in Haiti.

2. - FEMERAID INSTITUTES AND SERVICES
SCOPE OF THE FEMERAID INSTITUTES AND SERVICES - Femeraid Institutes are dedicated to Research and to Specialised Assistance
FEMERAID INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR STUDIES OF SEPSIS IN AFRICA ( IFIESA ) -
This Institute was recently created with the objective of contributing to the fight against Septicaemia in Africa, in accordance with the most modern international protocols and procedures. Sepsis, or Septicaemia, is the first cause of mortality in the Hospitals in Africa, and also around the World, and, by joining the International Campaign " Surviving Sepsis " we count on being able to reduce by 25% this mortality rate in each 5 years of cycle of the campaign, by working with Hospitals and Universities in all the African continent .
The Director of IFIESA is Prof Sir Lemuel Bornelli Cordeiro, MD, PhD, KCM, Professor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, Brazil, who is now finishing a book, which will be a Manual and a Guide Book of our Femeraid International Institute IFIESA for the treatment of Sepsis in Africa. This Femeraid Institute will work in all Africa in conjunction with the Faculty of Medicine of our Pro Deo State University.
FEMERAID INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR PENITENTENTIARY ASSISTANCE ( FIIPA ) -
This Institute is dedicated to providing assistance not only to the convicts to prison sentences in different countries and to their families, but also to prepare the social reinsertion of ex-convicts. Another very important task of this Institute is to assist the mothers who have children with them in the prisons, children who grow in a prison environment in the first years of their lives.
This Institute is Presided by the Most Reverend Monsignor Fabio Fabbri and has as Secretary General Dott. Sir Davide Cervi PhD, MBA, KM.
FEMERAID ASSISTANCE TO CHILDREN OF TRANSYLVANIA -
This program is operated and and supported by a group of Knights committed to assist the poor children in the region of Transylvania. This group of Knights is coordinated by Sir Csaba Király.
FEMERAID TRAINING SERVICE -
The Training Program designed to be common to all Femeraid Units, is being defined by the Critical Care Academy of the Faculty of Medicine of our Pro Deo State University, and will soon be presented publicly.
FEMERAID SERVICE FOR DONATION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND MEDICINES -
This Service works in co-operation with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Federation ( KMFAP ) to collect and distribute donations and has already donated in the recent past millions of Euros of :
Medicines and Medical Equipment to many countries among which to:
Albania ( medicines and heavy medical equipment )
Angola ( medicines and medical equipment )
Italy ( about half a million Euros of medicines during the last earthquake in Abruzzo )
São Tomé and Principe ( one ambulance, medicines and medical equipment )
Sierra Leone ( medicines )
The Gambia ( medicines )
Hungary ( medicines, clothes and medical equipment )
FEMERAID INSTITUTE FOR SEPSIS STUDIES IN AFRICA -
This Institute, presided by a Professor of Medicine of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, was created to reduce by 15 to 20 % the percentage of mortality in the hospitals in Africa due to Severe Septicaemia by implementing the protocols of Barcelona. This Institute is based in Angola and will work with African hospitals and universities
FEMERAID INSTITUTE FOR PENITENTIARY ASSISTANCE -
This Institute presided by the Italian Reverend Monsignor Don Fabio Fabbri - Prelate of Honour of His Holiness the Pope -, who has a long international experience in this subject, was created to give professional training to ex-convicts and help the integration in the society, to assist convicts during their time of sentence, to assist the families of the convicts who are left in very dramatic situations, and to assist the woman convicts and their children who – many of them grow in jail -.
FEMERAID ASSISTANCE SERVICE TO ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN -
This program is sponsored by one of our Knights - who prefers to remain anonymous - and has been paying in the last few years professional training and formation to about 40 Orphans in Hungary.
As some of those orphans have finished their studies we will be extending this program to the Cambodian Children Orphanage for Living and Training ( CCOLT ) in Cambodia, Institution directed by our new Knight Sir Thourn Sinan.
The funds for this program have recently been reinforced by a donation of other Knights.
Presently Femeraid International is assisting and supporting:
- • More than 40 orphans in Hungary to whom it pays the studies,
- • More than 150 children in Transylvania, Romania, to whom it offers holidays every year.
- • A large orphanage in Cambodia
FEMERAID EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN -
Content of this This Emergency Response Plan was proposed by Dr. Sir Nuno Cosmelli and is now being reviewed to be implemented in a near future.
