In August 2022, the Brookings Institution published a research that estimated 2 to 4 million Americans can no longer work (up to 2% of the nation’s workforce) due to long-term COVID, it’s a real tsunami of disabilities, and many others are working reduced hours.
By letting a pandemic virus run free, we have created a sicker, less able society around the world. Each infection and reinfection represents a roll of the dice that a person may become terribly sick and disabled for months, years, or even a lifetime.
