Canada: norovirus outbreak

Over 170 people have fallen ill after eating raw or improperly cooked oysters. The illnesses have been associated with oysters available at groceries, markets and restaurants from Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. Several cases have tested positive for norovirus infection. Authorities are investigating the outbreak further. 

Noroviruses, in particular, are highly contagious and tiny amounts of infectious material can make someone sick.
